Missed one yesterday off my A-Z of smaller press books you might have missed, but should search out, and Kid Maroon is very much that kind of book. @thevaultcomics went from printing single issues, to not printing comic books, to doing collections of things not yet printed, and this is where the Kid fell. A lovely little book, with a hell of a lot of heart, and I'm very happy anyone had the chance to read it!
In case folks want to go looking for their own cool books and add them to pulls without having to listen to what I have to say, the site we use to organise our pulls has plenty of ways to help you out!
The "new comics" tab is where to start, but make sure you check out the drop down options, including the ability to only be shown certain publishers, or even just brand new issue #1's!
After that, you can pick a date, or just scroll through week by week. Just be aware that we're now in th eprocess of ordering stuff that won't be in stores until April/May and beyond, so the sooner you add things, the better chance you've got of getting all the shiny things your heart desires...

Today's entry in the A-Z of comic books I just keep going back to is Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. An older one for sure, but the edgy kid me loved it, and when the store opened, I read again for the first time in years, and was surprised by how much of it still resonated with me. Yeah, there's a lot of edge, but there's also spectacular art and creative criticism of how people explore and interact with the arts. I suppose there are plenty of reasons why this is still a book that folks just love...

There's a lot of shiny new things to grab #NCBD#NCBD, but this wee book has me fascinated! Not usually the kind of thing I'd go for, but the fire concept, the aesthetic, even the presentation of the book, all have me excited to find out more!
On the A-Z list of comic books that are weird enough for me to remember, this here comic book is exactly why I keep going back to Ice Cream Man!
I'm not quite so ill today, so the next part of the A-Z of comic books that have meant something gets a full shout-out! Home Sick Pilots showed me just how good both @danpgwatters & @caspar_wijngaard could be! Wasn't my first experience of their work, but first together, and the one I use as examples of just how good they are! Plus, it's really fun to describe what this book is about...
The A-Z continues with Grommets! I'm feeling very ill, so you're not gonna get much from me, but if you're an ex-skater kid, of a certain age, I'd say this one could land just as well with you.
If not? It's still a damned fine book!
